Suspension bridges can generally be classified as long-span structures. It comprises a longitudinal deck (main girders) supported by hangers suspended from cables. The cables are connected to anchors at each end.
Today's large and magnificent suspension bridges were made possible through the establishment of structural analysis methods, material developments, construction methods, and computer technology developments.
In this session, we will go through the workflow of modeling the suspension bridge structure by using midas Civil's Suspension Bridge Wizard features. We will also cover the construction stage analysis for the suspension bridge. Ultimately, we will interpret the result to understand the bridge's behavior.
We will offer a PDH certificate to engineers who attend the session. The certificates will only be issued to those who practice in North America.
