Summary GTS NX has multiple interfaces with various CAD formats and structural (building and bridge) software for the most advance 3D Geotech Analysis. The training will cover 3 parts. 2 for advance geometry imports and 1 for building import.
The first part of the training will focus on importing DXF files from AUTOCAD to generate the topography and stratigraphy planes for quick and accurate 3D terrain model geometry generation. The session will show the correct way to prepare the DXF models in AUTOCAD for correct import into GTS NX.
The second part of the training will focus on importing SAT files from 2D plane sections from AUTOCAD for the fast modeling of 3D complex tunnels. The session will display the correct format of SAT files in AUTOCAD for proper import into GTS NX. It will conclude with the steps to follow to generate a 3D solid from 2D planes and how to connect these sections to 3D terrain.
The third part of the training will focus on importing MXT files of a building from midas GEN to analyze the differential settlement during the excavation of a tunnel. The session will show the steps for exporting from GEN and importing to GTS NX followed by the import of terrain and tunnel geometries. After connecting, and meshing everything, the training will show how to create the analysis stages of the tunnel excavations. Additionally, it will demonstrate how to extract the differential results of settlement and how to send them to Excel to graph. The session will conclude with the comparison of settlement between 2 types of foundations (with and without piles).
