He is a Senior Structural/Bridge Engineer at Stantec with more than 12 years of academic and professional experience in civil engineering, with a particular emphasis on concrete structures and bridges. He is skilled in Finite Element Analysis, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Earthquake Engineering. He has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused on Structural Engineering from North Carolina State University and a member of the precast prestressed concrete institute (PCI) for many years and has participated in many of the PCI research projects. He is the recipient of the 2018 T. Y. Lin Award for his outstanding research on prestressed concrete thin stemmed members' dapped ends. He is also an Assistant Professor of Structural Engineering at Ain Shams University, teaching undergraduate Courses Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures (I) (Second-year civil students), Construction Techniques of RC Buildings and Bridges (fourth-year civil students), and Supervision of Reinforced Concrete Graduation Project.
