MIDAS Professional Development:

Bridge Modeling Training Series

Thursday, May 19, 2022 - Thursday, June 16, 2022

Our Professional Development Program: Bridge Modeling Training Series is designed to help you understand the variety of bridge modeling approaches which is very essential knowledge for bridge and structural engineer. We will help you learn how to efficiently do a modeling process in midas Civil, a 3-D FEA bridge analysis tool widely known for its flexibility, transparency, and user-friendly interface.

This training program will expedite the learning process for engineers who want or need to learn midas Civil. This is a perfect opportunity to level up your skill to enhance your professional engineering career. By investing 45 minutes every week, you will be ready to level up and use midas Civil for your ongoing and upcoming projects.

Are you ready to level up? Join now!

Training Content:

  • 1st Training: Overview of midas Civil
This session will show you the general introduction of the software by taking an example of the frame structure, and you will also learn the basic modeling approach.
  • 2nd Training: Quick & efficient wizard modeling of a steel composite bridge
This session will demonstrate the modeling process of a steel composite bridge and explain the construction stages.
  • 3rd Training: Manual modifications in midas Civil
As the user always needs to simulate different layouts together, manual manipulation is necessary. So manual modifications will be demonstrated, such as defining substructure.
  • 4th Training: Irregular shape modeling in midas Civil
Continuing with the 3rd training session, we will discuss the manual modeling of complex irregular geometry, which consists of flared, skew & curved geometry.
  • 5th TrainingEfficient modules in midas Civil, making work easy for the engineer: GSD, SPC, tendon profile definition
This session will showcase the modules where the irregular sections will be defined using the SPC tool, and the use of GSD will be elaborated. We will also discuss the different methods for defining tendons.
