OVERVIEW

The stiffness of concrete material changes with time, and its creep and shrinkage effect may cause unexpected deformation. The creep strain of concrete depends on the time of stress occurrence. Therefore, to better simulate the material time-dependence, time-step analysis is needed. 

This PDH certified intro session will show how midas FEA NX uses 2D/3D elements to simulate the time-dependent material using age-dependent and age-independent creep models. And the session would show several benchmark examples of how the finite element results are compared with the theoretical calculation results.  

We will be offering a PDH certificate for engineers who attend the full session. The certificates will only be issued to those who practice in North America.
