Accurate 3D Substructure Analysis and Design
Simple 1 or 2D analysis is frequently used, but it often leads to inaccurate results. This is the reason why a full 3D model is needed. This session will compare 3D analysis with the current method used in substructure- only software.
The attendees will learn how to model the substructure in midas Civil. We will cover member, load and boundary definition and application onto the structure member in 3D for accurate simulation.
