midas FEA NX: Evaluating Creep Response Using Time-Step Analysis
A super quick read.
Author: JC Sun
Publish Date: 28 Jan, 2022
In this Intro Session our MIDAS engineer explained how midas FEA NX uses 2D/3D elements to simulate the time-dependent material using age-dependent and age-independent creep models. And the session also shows several benchmark examples of how the finite element results are compared with the theoretical calculation results. The session covers the following points:
-
- Overview of time-step analysis
- Overview of age-dependent creep formulations
- Comparative examples of finite element creep analysis results with theoretical calculations.
- Interpretation of creep analysis results
